Too Good To Go Food Review – Triple Two Coffee, Croydon

Summary of Triple Two Croydon: This was a really good experience which shows Too Good To Go at it’s best. Great value and a lucky dip selection of foods. Your own experience may vary dependent on staff and what is left at the end of the day. If most of the good items are gone, it may be pretty plain.

Location: Triple Two Croydon, 33 George St, Croydon CR0 1LB

Additional Directions: Triple Two is very easy to find, located in between Ladbrokes and Paddy Power.

About Triple Two Croydon: A new(ish) coffee franchise offering a slightly more relaxed and upmarket feel from the regular chains. Now has several outlets nationwide. Serves coffee, sandwiches, cakes and some hot meals. The Croydon store is a little bit too far from the station to serve commuters (it closes at 18.30) but inside it is more spacious than it looks outside.

Too Good To Go Data: £3.59 for the magic bag, collection between 17.00 and 18.00

What You Get: Officially the bag will get you £10 worth of stuff.  This is usually selected from items that are due to expire in the fridge: this is the whole point of the app. However, the exact value is an estimation only and deviations were not enforced. I would guess the official price of my items came to much more. Perhaps I got fortunate, but this was too much food to eat at once, I had to save some for the next day.

Value for Money: This is great stuff, but may come straight down to luck. If other fresh items such as fruit or yoghurt are sold out you may end up with a load of sandwiches and cakes. However, one of the benefits is that you pretty much have a very good idea of what type of food you will get.
